How dare you, you mean spirited Charedi bigot?! Only us MODOX are allowed to be haters! They didn't teach you the rules?! What do they teach you in your Yeshivas the whole day anyway, Torah or something like that??
I just stumbled upon your blog (after stumbling on Slifkin's recently and clicking on your profile) and I beg , exhort, plead and [insert every other language of entreaty ] to not peter out. Frankly it would be a crime to do so. Not only is this just the right answer to Slifkin's rants ( undoubtedly your type of content is what Chazal meant when they advised us Da Mah SheTashiv. I'm not being sarcastic) but it is also marvelously entertaining. And your writing skills are UNPARRALELED. A shame you don't write for major publication houses like ArtScroll or Feldheim.
BTW, is that a picture of you? The elusive Mecharker Bchol Oz??
Wow, thanks for your kind words! Feel free to subscribe. Just pointing out that there are three different people here. Besides myself, there is happygolucky and Rational Traditionalist. Both are incredibly talented, and it's an honor to have them on board.
I was also kind of shocked when I first stumbled on Slifkin's blog half a year ago on his obsession with Charedim and duplicitousness in general and posted a comment very similar to the one that you posted recently. His response was exactly the same. Something about the Rishonim of Sefard. Go figure.
I can't guarantee that we won't peter out. Unlike Natan, none of us are consumed with a manic hate, and we all have plenty of things going on in our lives. And we don't rely on public funding to devote ourselves to attacking others. So he definitely has the advantage here.
The picture on the post is AI generated and appears to be a kid with a beard. I guess in today's day and age, I can see how one could think that someone really looks like that😉.
Uh, what irreverence are you referring to?? I posted a grand total of two posts, besides this welcome one. One was a parody of a ridiculous post on RJ, and one was a repost of an epic takedown of MODOX by Ben Shapiro. So not quite sure what you are talking about!
This is besides the fact that MODOX in general is a joke. They are a movement in deep, deep trouble with no real way of explaining their serious inadequacies in the most basic requirements of Judaism, and ridiculously obsessed with looking over their shoulders and pointing fingers at the comparatively minor problems in society of authentic Judaism. Therefore, to attempt to engage in a meaningful discussion with them about our problems is absurd. For lack of a better English word, they are not a man d'amar at all. It would be akin to Afghanistan attempting to lecture the US about systemic racism or baseless claims of voter fraud. The best response to such a bizarre scenario is to display it for the joke that it is, not to reckon them as an authority!
And yes, my 'daas Torah' knows and approves of this blog, although at this point I am not really planning on seriously developing it.
Great job Mecharker, I love it!
