In yeshiva, my Rebbi always said that if you are not a lamdan you won't be able to understand anything in life. The Sonei talmidei chachamim always prove these points again and again, by thinking they have a whole built up argument (and then they post it in there echo chamber blog and feal very smart...)
Yeah, and then you have those guys who without Torah are such krumeh lamdanim, they try to shpalt impossible chilukim! Like saying that really the Torah is only against the 'act' of mishkav zachor, but the Torah really wants us to promote gay "rights" because "V'ahavta Lreiacha K'mocha" or "Lo Tov Heyot Ha'adom L'vado" or whatever other lokshen they think up. Just imagine, according to them, if Moshiach were here and we had the Sanhedrin, we would be marrying off gays with Chupah and Kiddushin but stoning them if they were caught doing what married people are supposed to do! Despite being so funny it's actually a little sad.
